Simple Masculine Cards

My husband needed a masculine get well card the other day, and this is what I made for him. The Open Sea stamp set is perfect for masculine cards!

And the same day my son needed a thank you card. Super simple, I used some retired designer paper (that actually came from the coordinating designer paper pack with the Open Sea stamp set). And I used the Thank You from the new Four You stamp set. - Can't get any easier than this one!!

Great Little Gable Box for Class!

This is the project we'll be making at this week's stamp class! It's a sweet little Gable Box! And it's made from a little less than a half a sheet of card stock!

But what I think makes it so cute are all the details we'll be adding to it! The 'for you' tag on the front is from the new Chalk Talk set. And the little flower added on has one of our new Candy Dots for it's center!

And inside the box we're putting a little handful of these specially decorated Kisses! The cute scalloped circles that fit so perfectly on the end of the Kisses come from the new A Round Array set. - A cute and fun accent, huh?

Hope to see you at class this week,

Grateful There's You!

I made this card for a swap I'm doing with the Chalk Talk set, and the Venetian Romance Designer Series Papers. I was inspired by a card I saw by Julie Davison. She did three versions of the card. So I took her stepped up version and I added a few of my own touches! I LOVE the new Ruffled Ribbon in the new In Colors - so I added that around the edge of the Oval punched saying piece. - A fun little touch!

Sophisticated Grad!

Here's another graduation card I made, this time for a high school graduate!

I got the great idea to 'steal' the high school emblem off of the announcement we received. I 'circle punched' it out of the actual announcement - and then layered it onto a couple of coordinating circle card stock pieces. Then I added it to the card - Wah lah! I got the idea from one of my Stampin' Buddies, Karen (Thanks, Karen!). She made a card for my son using his announcement, and I loved the idea! The one I made is a little bit different layout from hers though.

I like how it's personalized, but simple and sophisticated at the same time!

My Dad's Printer Tray & Card

Many children believe their Dads are invincible, heroes of amazing strength and wisdom.  This project is designed to showcase Dad through a child’s eyes.  It was designed using a Printer’s Tray with six equal 4" x 6" openings but any divided frame will work.  Another alternative would be to bind the various panels into a mini album instead of displaying them in a frame.  The coordinating card will work for Father’s Day or a birthday by just swapping out the inside sentiment.
